Daniel Schaffa

Daniel Schaffa is a professor of law at the University of Richmond School of Law, where he studies tax and law & economics. His tax research focuses on how the tax system can be designed to achieve socially desirable goals. His law & economics research focuses on crime, and specifically how related crimes should be punished.

He received his bachelor's, master's degrees in economics, accounting, and mathematics, his J.D., and a Ph.D. in economics all from the University of Michigan.
