Joseph J. Simons

Joseph J. Simons is a retired partner with the antitrust group of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and the former chairman of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). In a prior stint at the FTC, he served as director of the Bureau of Competition from 2001-2003.

He received his bachelor's in economics and history from Cornell University in 1980 and his JD cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1983.
