Dan Caprio
Dan Caprio is CEO and president of DC Strategies and co-founder and chairman of The Providence Group. He also serves as vice chair of the U.S. Commerce Department's Internet of Things Advisory Board and as U.S. lead on the European Commission's EU-U.S. Trade and Technology Dialogue.
Earlier in his career, he was acting assistant U.S. secretary for technology policy and chief privacy officer at the U.S. Commerce Department, as well as chief of staff to Federal Trade Commissioner Orson G. Swindle.
He has also served as CEO and president of The Progress & Freedom Foundation and has held posts with KPMG and McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP. He served as a staffer to U.S. Rep. Frank R. Wolf (R-Va.) and U.S. Sen. John East (R-N.C.).
Dan received his bachelors in political science from James Madison University.
